Construction P&C risk intelligence

Complex construction risk. Clear answers. Practical next steps.

Meet QRL Advisor. Ask questions in plain language or by voice, understand what needs attention, and move directly to the relevant project, coverage issue, or recommended action, from a single project to multi-billion-dollar programs.

01 / The gap

Everyone underwriting your risk can model it. You're the only party at the table without the view.

Carriers run predictive loss models. Brokers run placement analytics. Both arrive at your renewal knowing more about your risk than you do. The contractor, the party actually carrying the exposure and funding the losses, is left with spreadsheets and instinct. QRL closes that asymmetry.

02 / Platform

One Advisor. Your full risk picture.

Sophisticated risk intelligence, without requiring you to be a risk-modeling expert. QRL Advisor brings your projects, coverage, contracts, and total cost of risk into one conversational experience.

Ask. Use plain language or voice, without knowing which report to open. Understand. See portfolio priorities, what matters, and the evidence behind it. Act. Follow direct links to the relevant project, finding, policy, or recommended workflow.

AI helps explain the analysis. QRL’s calculation engines produce the numbers. Advisor grounds its responses in your authorized project data, QRL calculations, active findings, supporting evidence, and your organization’s knowledge base. It does not invent risk scores.

Use Advisor Mode for conversational guidance or System Mode for the full structured platform. Search, pin, and organize conversations in private folders so you can return to earlier work.

The risk intelligence behind every conversation.

Carrier-grade analysis gives you a defensible view of what your risk actually costs and how to finance it.

MOD.01 — COST OF RISK

TCOR, corrected

We model retained versus transferred losses across your construction exposures and surface the total cost of risk with your real cost of capital built in, the number standard models leave out.

MOD.02 — RISK FINANCING

Retention, matched to your posture

Compare financing structures against your firm's actual tolerance for volatility. Decide how much risk to keep and how much to transfer, rather than relying on a rule of thumb or last year's program.

MOD.03 — COVERAGE

Where your program leaves you exposed

A structured, scored view of where current coverage falls short of your risk profile, in plain terms your broker can take straight to market.

MOD.04 — MONITORING

Material changes, flagged as they happen

Every project is monitored against live conditions. When something material shifts, QRL surfaces the change before it becomes a claim.

How a material change reaches you

1
Level 1 Red Flag/Fire Warning

Issued for an active project site, or a change detected within the project file itself

2
Material change detected

Flagged against the project's risk position

3
Real-time alerts

Client control panel, email, and text

4
Position re-checked

Risk and coverage adequacy reviewed, allowing immediate intervention to avoid unnecessary losses or injury

03 / Why it's different

The same risk program, priced two ways.

Standard cost-of-risk models value the capital you set aside to retain risk at a frictional rate, often near 1%. But that capital is yours, and it carries your cost of capital, typically 10 to 25% for a construction firm.

Standard model: capital priced at ~1%$20,000
QRL: capital priced at your true cost$360,000

On an illustrative $2,000,000 of capital held against retained risk, the standard view shows a carrying cost of $20,000. Priced at your real cost of capital, the true carrying cost is $360,000. That's a difference of $340,000 the standard model never puts on the page.

04 / Who it's for

Construction contractors, from mid-market to enterprise. Delivered through your broker.

QRL supports construction firms from the mid-market through enterprise scale, including complex projects and programs measured in billions. We bring a quantified, defensible view to the risk retained across your business, whether you are building your first sophisticated risk program or managing a mature enterprise portfolio.

We work through brokers, not around them. QRL gives your broker a sharper, quantified view to bring to your program. It's built to make that relationship better, not to replace it.

Origins

Quantus Risk Logic was co-founded on a concept originated and architected by Lori Robinett, a construction risk executive with more than 25 years structuring and placing insurance for some of the most complex construction programs in the country. She led the National Project Insurance Practice at Willis and served as Managing Director of Aon's Texas Construction Group, directing stewardship for Aon's largest and most sophisticated clients and public-private partnerships. She later led complex-risk brokerage for NFP's Central Region.

As the visionary and architect behind the platform, she conceived a proprietary data-system blueprint for property & casualty risk assessment. This framework turns decades of placement expertise into quantitative, decision-ready risk intelligence. That architecture became the foundation of the QRL platform. Following her early retirement from the industry, its continued development and day-to-day operations are led by Mike Robinett.
